Since scientific chairs are considered the basis of the scientific research in the international prestigious universities those universities encourage and support those chairs because they constitute an indicator of their distinction in both research and serving the society.
KAU Has been keen to establish scientific chairs and provide the suitable scientific atmosphere so as to carry out its intended role through attracting the highly –qualified and distinguished staff and encouraging and supporting them in order to meet the needs of the society and develop it to be more creative in the related scientific fields By the end of the day , this will contribute to serving our religion , country, nation ,and humanity.
By the grace of Allah the almighty , the university is distinguished by adopting and embracing a considerable number of scientific chairs which are enhancement of its efforts in serving the society university towards research".
The chair of Dr.abdulhadi H. Taher for studies of figh and accounting of zakat is considered a new addition of the scientific chairs system at kau in a very vital field of accounting . what gives this chair more importance is its relationship with one of the most important pillars of Islam alms giving or zakat , where Allah the almighty say" take for their wealth a charity by which you reassurance for them and Allah is hearing and knowing .."(repentance :103)
His Excellency Dr.abdlhadi Hasan Taher supports this chair Dr.Taher is one of the pioneers in Saudi Arabia who earned their PhD in accounting and now may Allah reward him ,his remarkable efforts in serving his religion and country are clear in serving the third pillar of Islam, there is no doubt that this chair is a vital addition to that our blessed country witnesses an increases in the investment of capital may Allah help it increase its elevation , progress and prosperity..
I pray to Allah to regard this among Dr. taher's good deeds help those taking car of the chair pave the way for their footsteps and bless their efforts in developing this chair till it achieves its successful goals by becoming a distinguished research center, god willing
